Why Shorter Articles Work Better for Article Marketing?

Article marketing is a great way to promote your website. However some people really like to blabber in their articles. They think that longer articles, is going to get more visitors. Here are the top three reasons why shorter articles work better then longer ones in article marketing.

1) Boring Articles

Long articles are boring. Time is essential on the web. If your reader wanted to read long articles, they would have gone to the bookstore.

A recent study showed that people only read about half your article online. But if your article is shorter, it will likely keep their attention long enough to finish the entire article.

2) Get to the point already

People reading online don’t like writing with too much fluff. They want to quickly get the information they are looking for, and move on with it. Therefore, keep your articles concise and to the point, or the readers will likely leave.

3) Given all the information

If you publish a really long article, you would have likely given all the information about your topic away. Then there’s no need for the reader to visit your website, if they have already learned everything in your article. Keep some information exclusive to your website, which gives the readers a reason to read on.

An average article would be around 400 words. If you go too much above that, you might want to take another look at it. Just remember, quick, clean and concise.
